ASUS Eee PC 1000HE Information
Asus Eee PC is a line of subnotebook/netbooks created by ASUS and part of the Eee product family. When first introduced in late 2007, it was noted for it's combination of lightweight, solid-state drive and relatively low cost.The first Eee PC was a milestone in the personal computer business, launching the netbook category of small, low cost laptops. The Eee is an abbreviation slogan for the device: "Easy to learn, Easy to work, Easy to play".
The Eee PC 1000HE is the predecessor to the 1000HA. It has come to us with many upgrades. These include the new Atom 280 processor with a 10-inch LED-lit display, 6-cell battery, 160 GB HDD, Bluetooth, 802.11n wireless networking, 1.3 megapixel camera, and a revised keyboard.

LAPTOP Magazine’s ‘Netbook Madness’ tournament saw the Eee PC™ 1000HE vying for the championship title against 16 other highly-rated ultra-mobile Internet devices. Visitors and registered members of LAPTOP Magazine were invited to cast their votes to determine the overall winner in a series of head-to-head competitions, and the Eee PC™ 1000HE emerged as the ultimate victor. Kenneth Butler of LAPTOP Magazine concluded that the Eee PC™ 1000HE’s popularity was due to the fact that it offers the best bang-for-buck, and its incredibly long battery life:
“Well the votes are in and, there you have it folks, the ASUS EeePC[sic] 1000HE is our winner! … The 1000HE is cheaper and lasts more than a whooping hour longer on a charge.
